A collection of mobile phones detailing the history of the device has been released as an online museum with more than 2.000 handsets dating back to 1984.

Founded by industry veterans Ben Wood and Matt Chatterley, the Mobile Phone Museum includes high-resolution photos and stories about many of the phones on the list.

The museum started as a personal collection started by Wood more than 25 years ago and has now grown to more than 2.100 devices.

To mark the museum's opening, a special one-day exhibition is held in London, with students from a local elementary school visiting to experience a demonstration and storytelling with Mr Wood and the museum's teaching team on the history of the mobile phone. and its importance.

The museum will have the mobile phone company Vodafone as a sponsor for five years.

"It all started as a passionate project more than 25 years ago, so it's extremely exciting to work with Vodafone to open the museum and see so many industry veterans and other friends at the show," Wood said.

"None of this would have been possible without the generous generosity and effort of all these willing volunteers, donors and donors, so I want to thank them sincerely for their contribution."
