TikTok is launching a new pilot program that will allow you to send resumes to companies participating in the program.
TikTok announced that, from today, it will invite users to submit CVs to participating companies, including Target, Chipotle, Shopify, Meredith, NASCAR and WWE. The company encourages applicants to demonstrate their skills in a creative way by adding tags to the content with the hashtag #TikTokResume.
The pilot project is TikTok's latest attempt to streamline the relationship between brand and creators, giving both of them even more reason to invest time and cash on the platform.
"#CareerTok is already a thriving subculture on the platform and we look forward to seeing the community embrace TikTok Resume and help find work," TikTok Global marketing chief Nick Tran told the pilot.
The new pilot program can be found through the hashtag mentioned above and on the standalone website tiktokresumes.com, which also has some application tips and some sample videos. On this site, anyone can browse to-do list per employer and complete a short questionnaire by attaching the video link.
TikTok sees the new pilot program as a "natural extension" of the college ambassador program, which recruits students to serve as campus representatives promoting the social network brand. The pilot will receive TikTok CVs by July 31st.
The traditional resume has not changed much over the years - list the things you have done and summarize them on one page - but any branding of a social media manager or any other type of content creator could be well served by the latest experiment of TikTok.
