Android Auto is getting more powerful over time and only recently has the platform gained support for a number of new applications. New data shows that Google is finally approaching the introduction of support for work profiles.
Discovered by people at 9to5Google, Android Auto v6.4 has it strings in the code indicating that users will soon be able to separate their professional and personal belongings with the help of job profiles.
This feature could be very useful for a specific audience of users who previously could not access work-related data while on the go. For example, they will now be able to check their Work Calendar without having to touch their phone. Most importantly, work contacts will be easily accessible on Android Auto, so you can make work-related calls more easily.
Mishaal Rahman says the feature is not yet available, but it won't be long before you can activate your work profile on the vehicle supported by Android Auto. We will inform you when the new feature is released.
