3D modeling: What would be the real faces of ancient Greeks [Video] The image we have engraved in our memory of the great ancient Greek philosophers, mathematicians and generally eminent men of antiquity, comes mainly from the busts and statues of museums. This white smooth surface is now coming to be demystified in some way by technology.
Through 3D modeling software, the Cypriot Panagiotis Konstantinou, brings "to life" the faces of prominent ancient Greeks. The marble, motionless and expressionless faces of the busts are transformed into moving color images with expressions, giving an intimacy to the forms we have mythologized, allowing us to relate more easily to them.
The first video includes the modeling of Socrates, Demosthenes, Pericles, Aristotle, Sophocles, Xenophon and Themistocles, while the second video shows Aristophanes, Hippocrates, Philip II, Epicurus, Solos, Herodotus and Panyasis.
