Google has introduced a new search shortcut that can help you improve the results you get and even faster. When you are on a results page, you can simply press "/" to expand the search field.
As noted by 9to5Google, the tech giant has started informing users about the new shortcut in a box in the lower left corner, which appears when you press any key on a results page.
When you use the shortcut, you will be taken directly to the search field where the text cursor will appear next to your original query. The search field will be extended even with suggestions for common searches related to the term you entered for the first time.
This makes it ideal for use when you want to expand your initial search - say, if you want to improve the results page so that it mostly displays links to pages about the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra instead of the non-Ultra version - although you can also use “/” for new search terms if you wish.
As 9to5Google notes, this feature combines tab accessibility shortcut for Google Search. Clicking the tab button on a results page highlights the links so you can open sites without relying on the mouse or trackpad.
