The news electric Tesla Semi truck, will run the route between the company's Fremont Factory and Gigafactory Nevada.
The car industry seems to be its best customer when it comes to electric trucks.
Tesla has issued a statement asking for technical service for its Tesla Semi, looking for people in Canada.
A little later, the company also added many new locations for different locations such as:
- Fremont, California
- Reno, Nevada
- Stockton, California
- Rocklin, California
- Fresno, California
With the addition of new locations in Mississauga, Ontario and Canada, it appears Tesla wanted to add service capability to support local Tesla Semi customers, such as the area-based Walmart Canada, which has ordered more than 100 electrics. trucks from Tesla.
As for the new locations in California and Nevada, the first four are clearly to support the route between the Fremont plant and the company's Gigafactory Nevada.
Tesla will transport a ton of products on the 260-mile route between the two plants.
All batteries and motors are manufactured in Nevada and shipped to California, where Tesla manufactures and assembles its electric vehicles.
This is the initial route on which the upcoming Tesla Semi trucks will be used.
Tesla has already used some of its first prototypes along the way, but now plans to start production soon and usage should increase, hence the new service locations.
Ο Jerome Guillen, chairman of Tesla Heavy Trucking, previously said the carmaker plans to be its own customer on this route with the Tesla Semi.
The potential savings are significant, with lower operating costs per mile.
