After posting a shared Google Drive with private videos and pictures (inappropriate content) by hundreds OnlyFans accounts, a company created one tool που allows content creators to check if their data has been leaked.
It is common for users to share OnlyFans content they have subscribed to, but this is different due to the large number of creators whose private content was posted online at the same time.
OnlyFans is one website that allows content creators to make money by sharing images, videos and live streams with a fans, who pay to subscribe to their content.
OnlyFans is mainly advertised as a medium that can be used by celebrities and influencers to share their content. However, it is also widely used for adult content sharing. Fans pay creators to access it.
Content from OnlyFans leaked to Google Drive
Last month, the company's researchers BackChannel found a post on a hacking forum that said a member shared with other forum members a Google Drive with adult-only content from OnlyFans.
The founder of BackChannel told BleepingComputer that The Google Drive folder contained folders for 279 OnlyFans creators, with one of these folders having more than 10 GB of video and photos.
Most of the content appears to have been downloaded in October 2020.
"It is not uncommon for OnlyFans creator subscribers to share files. OnlyFans has somewhat weak content controls and there are many bots and scrapers that a legitimate subscriber can use. What makes it unique is that so many users gathered in one folder".
According to the founder of BackChannel, this means that the person who uploaded the inappropriate content to Google Drive took advantage of many different leaks or that many people participated and uploaded content created by OnlyFans creators.
Unfortunately, OnlyFans content owners must report individual files for copyright infringement, to remove them from Google Drive. For those who have a lot of files, it will definitely be a tedious process.
"The stolen images sexual explicitly refer to the terms of service as a breach, however the only way to report this content is to go to each individual file and report it", Explained the expert.
Sharing the folder with inappropriate content of OnlyFans seems to have started from his account City College of San Francisco. So BackChannel is trying to contact him to remove the file, although he does not believe it was done by the account administrators.
New tool helps creators check if their content has been leaked
To help OnlyFans content creators determine if their inappropriate content has been leaked, BackChannel created the page “OnlyFans Lookup Tool". OnlyFans content creators introduce member name to see if their content has been disclosed without permission.
If a creator sees that their content has been leaked, the site will suggest that they visit https://labac.dev/content, which contains a DMCA Violation Alert template, which can be used for remove content.
Currently, the tool can be used to detect leaked content through this folder in Google Drive. But BackChannel intends to add further leaks related to OnlyFans.
