The social networking platform Mewe saw the number of users of rising significantly after the scandal with WhatsApp.

Lately, one has been observed moving users away from large platforms social networking, such as Facebook and Twitter.
It seems that privacy breaches, constant surveillance, political bias and attempted manipulation by these companies have tired a lot of users.
Naturally, these users are looking for other platforms that benefit from this removal. For example, the social network MeWe, which is said to be future of social networking without ads, is at the moment, the application social networking that most users download from Google Play Store.
The MeWe, η "Anti-Facebook" platform focusing on privacy gained 2,5 million new members in a single week.
The platform was launched in 2016 and currently has 15,5 million members (50% are users outside of North America).

The company says its membership is growing rapidly because people all over the world are looking for a social network that respects them as customers. This is the new mainstream social network that has all the features that people love, without ads, without targeting and without manipulating the news.
Both MeWe and other similar applications, such as Signal and Telegram, have acquired more users in recent days, due to the issue that has arisen with WhatsApp. The messaging app recently said it would share more user data with Facebook due to changes to its terms of service.
The users do not want to share their data with platforms like Facebook. MeWe gives users it complete control of their data.
The challenge for the "Anti-Facebook" platform is to take the appropriate measures to be able to effectively serve the increased users.
