IPhone shortcuts help you automate tasks, no matter how simple or complex. But did you know that you can run some of your shortcuts directly on your Apple Watch and directly from your watch face?

If you are using WatchOS 7 and later on Apple Watch (and iOS 14 and later on iPhone), you can use the Shortcuts application on your smartwatch to enable shortcuts. The Shortcuts application in iPhone automatically recognizes shortcuts that can executed in the Apple Watch and adds them to a separate "Apple Watch" folder.

In this guide, we will focus on adding existing Apple Watch shortcuts directly to a watch. Just added, you can simply press the shortcut and confirm to her turn on.
First, go to the "watch face" to which you want to add the shortcut as a "complication". Subsequently, press and hold the watch face. From the menu, select the "Edit" button.
Now swipe left to go to the "Complications" section. Here, click the complication you want to change.

Use Digital Crown to navigate the list of all available applications and complications. Here, select a shortcut from the "Shortcuts" section. If you do not find your shortcut here, click the "More" button to see one list with all available shortcuts.

Once the shortcut is added, you will see it in preview. Press Digital Crown once to save the layout. Press Digital Crown again to return to watch face.

You will see that the shortcut has been added to the watch face.
Just press the shortcut to activate it. From the next screen, select the "Run" button and enter any information, if needed. Once the shortcut is performed, you will see a visual confirmation from the Shortcuts application.
