How to choose which extensions will appear in the Edge toolbar

Extensions to Microsoft Edge can make your browser more useful. But sometimes you may not like that the icons for each extension take up space on the toolbar. Here's an easy way to manage the extension icons that appear on the Edge toolbar.

Hide extension icons in menu

The simplest way concealment or reveal a toolbar extension icon in Edge is to move it from the toolbar to the "ellipses" menu, which looks like "…". Once in the menu, you can easily move it to the toolbar. See below with whom way becomes the procedure.

First, launch Edge and see the toolbar in any window. By default, the extension icons appear just to its right address bar.

If you want to remove an extension icon from the Edge toolbar (without uninstall or yes turn off the extension), right-click on the icon and select "Move to the menu".

Edge

Once you move an extension icon to the menu, you'll find it at the top of the Edge main menu, where you can get access by pressing the "ellipses" button (which looks like three dots).

If you want to reset the extension icon on the toolbar, right-click on icon and select "Move to the toolbar" in menu that appears.

Repeat the process with as many extensions as you want, until you find the configuration that is best for you.
