NordPass notifies you if your data has been compromised

The password manager North Pass, has announced a new update, which will help them users to find out if the data they have leaked. The Data Breach Scanner is a new tool included in NordPass Premium, which scans the Internet to determine if a person's information has been stolen from a data breach.

When a breach occurs or leakage Sensitive information can end up circulating, either publicly or among malicious agents. Often, the victims they may not be aware that their information has been leaked, especially if the infringing organization did not discover the infringement itself or if it does not have good response policies in place.

Data Breach Scanner will display a list of sites that have suffered data breach, which will include user data, along with a description of how the leak occurred. A list of unsaved emails will also appear.

"You can use NordPass Data Breach Scanner to scan the web and see if your data has ever been compromised," the blogger explained. Ruth Rawlings of NordPass.

You can then take steps to protect your accounts and sensitive data. If your accounts have been compromised, it is recommended that you change your passwords. If there is other data, such as credit card information involved, monitor your bank balance for suspicious activity and if you notice anything, contact your bank immediately.

The Data Breach Scanner will provide an easy-to-use reminder for people to renew their credentials every time they leak. Although it may be easier to leave the leaked username or password unchanged, invaders may use this information for malicious activity.

NordPass also recently released a feature Password Health to help users identify which of their accounts are vulnerable. Although passwords remain the primary method of identifying Internet users, many people still use weak and easy passwords.
