How to remove recently added apps in the Windows 10 Start menu

By default, when you open the Windows 10 Start menu, you will see the recently added applications at the top part of the application list. This section will list some of the most installed applications recently. If you want to remove them, it's easy. See how you can do the process.

Windows 10 installation from USB Flash or CD / DVD

See how a standard "Recently Added" section appears at the top of the list of applications in the Start menu. It is a small area that displays the names and newly installed icons applications.

If you want to hide the "Recently Added" section, you need to visit Windows Settings. Open Settings by doing Okικ in the “Start” menu and by selecting the “Gear” icon (or by pressing Windows + I).

Windows

In Settings, click on "Personalization".

In Personalization, click "Start" in the sidebar.

In the Start menu settings, find button Click "Show Recently Added Apps" to turn it off.

Windows

The next time you open the Start menu, the recently added applications section at the top will be gone. You will no longer be reminded of all the applications you have recently installed, but of course you can find them in the "All Apps" list or by using search box in the Start menu.
