The Internet of Things in Mathesis donated by Plastics of Crete

The Internet of Things (Internet of Things- and production ) is his basic new lesson Mathesis in his first autumn course starting in a few days.

The course was created with a donation from "Plastics of Crete SA", which embraced its purpose - the dissemination of future technologies in our country - and assumed the cost of production and supply.

Mathesis expresses its gratitude to the Lempidakis family not only for the financial part of its donation, but also for the moral encouragement it contains. It is reminded that the attendance of all Mathesis courses is free and the resources for its operation come exclusively from donations, voluntary work and a voluntary contribution - of the order of 20 € - from the citizens who attend them and wish the issuance of a relevant certificate. For the unemployed, not only the attendance but also the issuance of a certificate is offered free of charge.

Course information:

Internet of Things (IoT) in practice: With Raspberry Pi and Python

Instructor: Nikos Gikopoulos, Software Engineer / Mathesis Technical Officer

This course is aimed at people with a desire to enter the new world of smart devices and applications, exploring through practical examples the possibilities offered by technology today. Upon completion of the course participants will be able to create their own original applications of the Internet of Things, such as systems that remotely control the climate of a place or automatically update by sending photos if they notice any movement in a home, and many more that we will see in practice with the help of the well-known Raspberry Pi device. The possibilities provided by the Internet of Things do not stop except from our imagination!

The lesson begins on Monday 19 October 2020 and registrations have already started at mathesis.cup.gr.
