How to uninstall apps and games on Android TV

It is easy for decoders to load with dozens of streaming media applications. If you are no longer using an application or game, it is a good idea to uninstall it to free up some storage space and possibly improve device performance. See how you can uninstall apps on Android TV.

First, use it D-pad on the Android TV remote control to select the “Apps” icon on the left side of the top line of the home screen.

Then select it application or the game you want to uninstall from the list.

Hold down the "Select" or "Enter" button on your remote control and select "Uninstall" from the pop-up menu.

Selecting it button a new screen will open. It will ask if you want to uninstall the application. Select "OK".

Are you ready! You have now uninstalled an application or game from Android TV.

Note that you will not be able to uninstall applications which were pre-installed on the Android TV set-top box or on TV. For example, the Netflix cannot be uninstalled on Nvidia Shield TV. This option is not available.
