The personal information a large number of its customers and donors Christ Hospital Health Network, are very likely to have been violated, after attack accepted by the well-known data storage provider Blackbaud.
The information of both patients and donors of Christ Hospital started on September 14 as a precautionary measure.
On July 16, Christ Hospital received an update from Blackbaud, a service provider cloud computing, used by healthcare organizations, institutions and non-profit organizations around the world, that the hospital health network was one of the victims of a data breach in systems the company's.
Blackbaud discovered and stopped the attack, but informed everyone involved that their customer information may have been leaked.
According to the hospital, the information did not include social security numbers, financial information or payment card information or electronic health records.
"As an organization that is committed to providing not only an exceptional experience to the patient but also to protecting it safety of his patients' information, we take this incident very seriously and we started informing the affected patients, from 14 September 2020 as a precautionary measure. "We remain committed to reviewing and improving our security practices, as well as those of our third party partners and providers, on an ongoing basis in accordance with best data security practices," Christ Hospital's health network said in a statement.
