Mozilla plans to say goodbye to two of its lesser-known products this year, Firefox Send and Notes.

Firefox Send is one tool which the company introduced in 2017 to allow users to share encrypted files. Send was generally popular in the Firefox community, so many will be surprised by Mozilla's decision to withdraw it. However, as is usually the case, some bad incidents ruined the experience for everyone else.
Such as we mentioned earlier in the summer, Mozilla has seen that some users have started using Send to carry out attacks Phishing and send malicious software. In response, Mozilla suspends the tool. At the time, he said he would bring it back later after adding better reporting capabilities.
Apparently, the company has changed its mind and is proceeding with the complete abolition of Firefox Send.
«During the interim period, as we weighed the total cost and strategic focus, we decided not to make the service available again., "Said Mozilla. Since Send is already out connection, there is nothing you need to do to prepare for its removal.
The second tool is Firefox Notes. Like Send, Notes was developed by the inactive program Test Pilot the company's. It was originally a way for the company to try out new ways to synchronize encrypted data. Once the experiment was over, the company kept Notes as a tool that could be used in Firefox and Firefox for Android.

In early November, Mozilla says it will discontinue support for Firefox Notes and Sync. If you have already installed the extension on computer you will have the opportunity to export all your notes. However, after November, it will not be possible to install the extension again, according to information from Engadget.
