Microsoft gives Edge Classic a new feature that gives users more control over how files are downloaded in the browser.
So far in Microsoft Edge Classic, when downloading, the browser would ask if you want to download and download execution of the program, save it to the default Downloads folder or specify where you want to save the file.

With the release of Chromium-based Microsoft Edge, the browser no longer gives you the same control.

In the Microsoft Edge Dev and Canary versions (greater than 87.0.629.0), Microsoft has moved the original download options from Edge Classic to the new program browsing their.
Now when you download one file, you will have four options to choose from. Open, Save as, Save, and Cancel.

These options perform the following behavior:
- Open: Download the file and run it immediately or open it in a related application.
- Save as: Select where you want to save the file.
- Save: Save the file to the default folder, which is usually the Downloads folder.
- Cancel: Do not download the file.
After downloading a file, you can delete the file from computer by clicking on the menu ••• and selecting Delete.
To enable these new controls, install the latest one version Microsoft Edge Dev or Canary and then go to edge: // settings / downloads.
On the Downloads settings screen, select “Ask what to do with each λήψη".
