Since the morning, users of the Vanguard, Schwab, TD Ameritrade, Robinhood and Merril Lynch platforms have reported operating problems when trying to trade.
Starting at around 9 in the morning, the time the transactions start, users started reporting to Twitter that they could not use the corporate transaction sites as well as the mobile apps.
Other users report errors when trying to connect to trading sites, such as TD Ameritrade.
BleepingComputer contacted the various trading companies, but only received a response from Vanguard and TD Ameritrade, both of whom said they had connectivity issues.

Using the traceroute command, which counts the response times for each point connection along a particular host, we can see that a host at akamai.com had much increased times response when connecting to investor.vanguard.com.
Akamai has not yet made a statement on whether it has performance issues.
