The Facebook proceed to removal of fake accounts who were trying to reinforce each other's content with the ultimate goal of promotion of Roger Stone's public image. According to Facebook, The fake accounts were managed by "Roger Stone and his associates".
The accounts posted content with Political Issues and then they liked and commented on the posts of the other accounts, in order to trick Facebook's algorithms and increase the visibility of their content.
Accounts and pages were supposedly used by Florida residents. However, Facebook said that accounts they were counterfeit and managed by people linked to Roger Stone, a former adviser to his presidential campaign. Donald Trump for 2016.
The social network said the accounts were active from 2015 to 2017. They were later inactivated.
