Η Marriott hotel chain revealed a new one yesterday infringement data which affected more than 5,2 million visitors of its hotels. The victims of the violation were the visitors who had used it loyalty app of the company.
Marriott posted a notice on its website stating that the hotel chain had been notified of the data breach in late February. According to the data, one hacker had used them credentials connecting two employees to acquire access in their information customers by backend systems of the app.
According to Marriot, the hack took place in mid-January. However, he did not disclose further details on how exactly that happened.

The hotel chain launched a network portal where the users of the app can check if they belong to these 5,2 million visitors affected by data breach.
