Microsoft Edge - Password Monitor: Alert when your passwords are stolen

Password Monitor: will notify us of data leaks in Edge

Ο Microsoft Edge introduces a new service called “Password Monitor”. This service will notify them users if their credentials (passwords etc.) have been leaked to data breaches.

As long as a user is using autocomplete, Microsoft Edge will notify him if this information is leaked, showing him an alert when he opens the "New Tab" or when he visits the offending page.

If the user clicks on the "More Information" button in the alerts, it will be taken to the "Password Monitor" page, where they will be able to see the leaked credentials and change them very easily by simply pressing a button to allow change the details of the page from which they were leaked.

Nowadays, data breaches happen daily, so Microsoft Edge is not the only program browsing which wants to offer a similar service. The Google Chrome, like the Mozilla Firefox, also create services that provide better security for users' credentials and allow them to use unique passwords on every page they visit.
