With regard to iOS and iPadOSThe Apple has given to apps unlimited access to its clipboard systemic (Pasteboard for iPhone and iPad). According to a survey conducted by experts Talal Haj Bakry and Tommy Mysk, many popular apps secretly read pasteboard content.

This behavior is naturally suspicious. In fact, some of these apps, like some games, do not provide text-related UIs. Nevertheless they have access to the content of pasteboard.

In addition, apps that access iOS or iPadOS pasteboard can read what has been copied to one Poppy, if the user has enabled Universal Clipboard.

The most worrying thing is that the apps can read any type data, copied to pasteboard. However, they seem to be more concerned with textual information rather than photographs, documents, etc.

Researchers said they do not know exactly what apps do with the content of pasteboard. All they know is that applications have access to the data.
