The easiest way to install Google Chrome is to use gdebi which will download all the necessary packages. To install gdebi, open a Terminal, and then type the following command:

# apt install gdebi-core

Then install the debian package you downloaded earlier:

# gdebi google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb

To start the program, first open a terminal and type:

$ google-chrome --no-sandbox

1. No SandBox: ERROR: (89)] Running as root without –no-sandbox is not supported.

The solution to avoid this problem is simply to run Google Chrome with a –no-sandbox extension, like the following:

# google-chrome -no-sandbox

2. Illegal Instruction: The message "illegal Instruction"Appears when you execute the google-chrome command as privileged root userς.

To deal with problem, you need to create one another privileged user For example: linuxconfig. To create another user, type:

# useradd -m -d / home / linuxconfig linuxconfig

Then go back to Google Chrome using the new linuxconfig user:

# su linuxconfig -c google-chrome

3. The package libappindicator1 is not installed: dpkg: dependency problems preventing google-chrome-stable configuration: google-chrome-stable depends on libappindicator1; however: Package libappindicator1 is not installed.

To avoid this problem, you must use gdebi for the installation, as we mentioned earlier.
