Jeff Bezos: Ready to Take Action Against Climate Change!

This initiative by Bezos is one of the largest charitable commitments to date, according to the Chronicle of Philanthropy, following the $ 36 billion funding paid by Warren Buffet in 2006 and the $ 16,4 billion by Helen Walton, the last wife of Walmart founder Sam Walton in 2007.

In addition, Bezos pledged to stop using coal by 2040, ten years before the deadline set by the Paris agreement to tackle climate change. At the same time, he spoke of 100.000 electric lorries by 2024. Bezos stressed the need for collective action and cooperation from large companies, small companies, national states, global organizations and individuals, while reducing the consumption of fossil fuels to address them. of the problem of climate change, which is the biggest threat our planet has to face.
