Soros demands his immediate replacement Mark Zuckerberg as its head Facebook, as he claims he has made a secret deal with Donald Trump, so that it doesn't control its pre-election campaigns for profit.
As reported by New York Times, Soros claimed there was an informal agreement between Trump and Zuckerberg: "Facebook will help President Trump get re-elected and Mr Trump will in turn defend Facebook from regulators and the media."
According to him, the evidence for what he is saying is that Zuckerberg had a meeting with President Trump four months ago on September 19, 2019. Moreover, Zuckerberg's refusal to control political ads "has opened the door to falsehood, outrageous and offensive statements. "Obviously this will pave the way for President Trump to use misinformation, in order to influence public opinion and win the second round of elections.
Soros refers to Facebook as a media company and not as "platform", Which means that he should be accountable for everything he posts.
He suggests that both Zuckerberg and Sandberg should be replaced, since their only goal is to make profit, without thinking about the consequences.
George Soros expects much from Facebook's head. However, Mark Zuckerberg cannot solve them all problems facing society.
That's why Zuckerberg has said he welcomes government regulations. This way, Facebook does not have to find solutions to problems it does not understand and the responsibility for this shifts beyond the organization.
Soros, of course, argues that the Facebook chief aims to help Trump get re-elected, which is not something that can be proven.
