The new features are part of Cisco's plan to add more intelligence to tools communication and cooperation. The new changes are meant to make the Webex Assistant more efficient, making meetings more productive and less hassle-free. For example, with automated functions such as transcription, participants in a meeting need not take notes.
Users can also update Webex to highlight certain parts of a meeting. After one meeting, users can search for copies of one appointment or all appointments.
"Voicea users reported saving more than six hours per week with more effective encounters - and we believe Webex users will have similar results," said Amy Chang, Cisco Collaboration's EVP. "This technology will fundamentally change the way we can deliver massively personalized experiences and transform the way we work."
Cisco says 300 million people use its collaboration tools.
As Cisco also announced, the Webex Assistant for Webex Rooms will soon be able to communicate with users in Spanish. Cisco added Assistant to Webex Rooms in 2017, thereby providing the users the ability to use their voice to control devices, call or attend meetings. Soon, users will be able to speak either English or Spanish, and the Webex Assistant will understand and respond to their preferred language.
Cisco also announced updates to its Contact Center Portfolio, including integrating Voicea with its Contact Center Google Cloud AI (CCAI). Now, those using this CCAI will be able to get call transcripts and summaries from Voicea.
Cisco is also developing a tool called Webex Experience Management, based on the acquisition of CloudCherry. The tool brings more analysis and insight into the customer experience.
