Apple: Delete the following iPhone apps right away!

IPhone users are now required to delete the dangerous applications that you will see below. Researchers from Wandera's threat research team found that 17 applications in the Apple App Store were infected with something called "clicker trojan malware".

Wandera says: “The Trojan is a well-understood malware category that performs ad fraud by frequently linking to networks or sites advertisements, in order to artificially increase the number of visitors or generate revenue per click ”.

The applications will also slow down the performance of the phone and remove mobile data faster than usual. The research team found that all the applications were published by AppAspect Technologies Pvt Ltd, based in India.

The complete list of dangerous applications

It is difficult for users to identify which applications they are malicious, as all applications work exactly as they would expect. Here is the complete list of applications that should be removed from your Apple device:

- File Manager - Documents

- Smart Gps Speedometer

- CrickOne - Live Cricket Scores

- Daily Fitness - Yoga Poses

- Fm Radio Pro - Internet Radio

- My Train Info - IRCTC & PNR

- Ramadan Times 2019 Pro

At the time of publication, AppAspect Technologies Pvt Ltd still has two applications in store:

- Quick Sticker Maker

- Doc Scanner - Documents

None of these applications were found to contain malware.

AppAspect Technologies Pvt Ltd also has 28 applications in Google Play Store, but Wandera tested these applications and found them to be free of malware.

However, a report by Wandera states that "additional research found that AppAspect's Android apps had once been infected and removed from store. They have since been republished and do not appear to have built-in malicious functionality. ”

How to delete applications

Apple has removed these applications from App Store, but users will need to manually remove them from Appliances their.

Users should hold the app icon on their phone until it starts to shake. Then press the "X" symbol and then select Delete.

On iPhone X (or later), the user must press the Done button or for other models just the button Home.
