the Annual Meeting of the CSI Institute on Wednesday, June 19 2019 took place at the headquarters of the CSI Institute
With a basic message "All together for one safer Internet» the work of the Annual General Assembly of the International Cyber Security Institute was completed at the CSI Institute offices (CSIi). The Chairman of the General Assembly and Founder of the Institute, Emmanouil Sfakianakis coordinated the Convention and welcomed the members of the General Assembly.
In his speech, the President of CSIi presented the Progress Report for the years 2018 and 2019. In addition, he informed the members of the General Assembly about the results of the actions and about the forthcoming collaborations CSIi with Google, the National Olympic Academy and We Can Together in the context of developing the Foundation's extroversion strategy.
As Mr. Sfakianakis has pointed out "CSIi is today at the point where its great action to fight technological illiteracy and reliable information and prevention of the dangers posed by the Internet is in full swing. "
"During the years 2018-2019, with a continuous presence even in the most remote parts of Greece over 400.000 fellow citizens our all over the country but also internationally saw us, listened to us, commented on us alive, but also online».
"The upward course and success of the Institute," he said, "is based on the love of the world and the dedication and goodwill of our volunteers, who daily support our actions that have as their main concern the adoption of a healthy digital culture for every citizen of any age.
"The Institute's dynamic course continues. The conferences are extended throughout Greece and internationally with already scheduled workshops abroad in September, collaborations with world-class operators, new actions with a resonance in the global community and a large network of volunteers and scientific associates ", he added.
Of particular importance was the contribution of the Secretary General of the CSI Institute and Managing Director of the Athens Medical Group, Vassilis Apostolopoulos, who inter alia stated that the International Institute for Cyber-security is now an important developmental lever for the promotion of the digital society and all Greek citizens have the right to participate if they first receive the correct and valid information about safe navigation on the Internet and managing individual online threats and threats. In this context, as Mr. Apostolopoulos stressed, universal participation in the actions of the CSI Institute and their establishment in institutions is necessary and it is something that the state must take seriously into consideration for the protection and prosperity of all our Greek fellow citizens.
