Deepfake video leaked for Zuckerberg at Instagram

At the beginning of the week, a video was uploaded to Instagram depicting Mark Zuckerberg. This video, which is actually fake, is called deepfake. Substantially deepfake is a technique for human image synthesis based on artificial intelligence and used to create false videos or fake news.

The publication of this deepfake video has, as expected, brought people's curiosity about the company's reaction to this counterfeit product, which is a defamation for Zuckerberg himself. However, to the surprise of all the company's response was that they would not download the video and follow the tactics followed according to their policy.

Deepfake

The base from which the deepfake drew was a 7 minute video created by 2017's CEO to analyze a topic he was working on at the time. Its political company is that even this video, which discredits its founder Facebook will be treated in exactly the same way that any misinformation is dealt with Instagram. If the evidence that results from the test proves to be fake, it will filter it out of Instagram's suggestions.

Possibly the motives of this tactic have to do with the events of May. Towards the end of the previous month, a deepfake video was leaked, which concerned the political Nancy Patricia Pelosi. There was the same politician in a bad state, looking drunk. The company then announced what steps to follow, that it would not download the video even if it became viral. It has received criticism.

Shortly thereafter, Neil Potts, Facebook's public policy director, testified before the Congress that the company would follow the same policy if it appeared on one of the deepfake platforms that will be about Zuckerberg.

As it happens now, Zuckerberg's turn came to be confronted with deepfake video staff.
