Wipro is the third largest outsourcing company in India.
The discovery was made when the company noticed some suspicious moves on the accounts of some employees in network her. A company spokesman said this was a phishing campaign.
The company said it immediately launched an investigation, spotted the affected bills, and took steps to minimize the impact of the attack.
