Changing to WhatsApp makes it easier to search the application

searchThe WhatsApp acquires an important update that will help people find things in their conversations using search. Currently, tools for finding specific items within WhatsApp messages usually allow you to search for conversations with specific words. A more advanced search is however ready to be released.

In accordance with WABetainfo, the update is not currently available to any user, so those who have the beta version of iOS or Android are not yet in a position to see it. However, it is likely that this advanced search will be moved to the beta within a few weeks.

The new feature will break the items that can be searched in different categories. This is especially useful if you want to search for a GIF or a video, but you can not remember which one. Predefined searches cover photos, GIFs, videos, documents, and sound. There is also a specific search for weblinks, which could be extremely useful if you can not remember who sent you a link or just want to see a list of what has been sent.

The new search method will also allow you to select the item you want and then enter keywords. So, by choosing a GIF and typing for example the cat word, it will show you logical results for a cat - although the image should probably have the correct name.

But an image search can be particularly useful for people who choose not to save the images from WhatsApp.

These search results also show a preview, either for the image or video, or in the case of a link, for the header of the corresponding web page. This will help people find the links they are looking for as they get more information than just a link to a website.
