Gmail for iOS will offer support for iPad Pro (2018) screens

iPad ProThe gmail for iOS features a new update that supports the unique 2018 iPad Pro screen. Working with different aspect ratios and screen sizes is common for Android app developers, but the case is quite different for iOS developers. With a fixed number of times, iOS developers usually get a finite amount of variations and combinations to work, which allows them to optimize their apps for Apple devices. However, with iPad Pro (2018), Apple changed its tablet's dimensions for the first time, which reduced the quality of the experience offered by third-party applications.

The latest Gmail update for iOS (5.0.190113 version) shows only a note under What's New under "Now optimized for the new Apple iPad Pro". This brings good news to iPad Pro (2018) users who expect the Gmail app to fit into the new dimensions, with thinner frames and rounded edges.

Note that this is not the same as the new Gmail Material Design Update.

Gmail is just one of the popular apps that needed to promote an update for the new iOS devices and analyzes. Just last week mentioned that Facebook is preparing an update to optimize its application for iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and iPad Pro (2018). Finally, there was reference and for Instagram to optimize its application for the new iOS screens.
