Dangerous and ... fake videos on Youtube!

New data from the Pew Research Center in America highlight the advantages and disadvantages of Youtube and invite users to be very careful with the content they are watching. According to a survey conducted in the United States, based on 4.594 adults, it was found that users use this entertainment platform to get information almost for everything.

Youtube

The Youtube is the most popular option for anyone to discover things they have never seen before and have not done it again. In particular, 87% of people have responded that this particular social media is important to acquire new skills and evolve as individuals. Unfortunately, the majority of users reported that they have occasionally been exposed to incorrect and worrying videos the moment they visit the platform. The content of these videos is totally fake and is something that is quite common. Indeed this is the biggest problem for Youtube, as the main reason for the increase in visits is for users to understand what is happening in the world.

The problem was reported when, a few months ago, a trending video was released that promoted a conspiracy theory for students who were victims of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school attack in Florida. The video contained snapshots with embarrassing content but was soon downloaded from the platform due to violation of rights.

For some time now, Youtube has been trying to tackle fake content and "disturbing" users who are still misinforming the public and violating the terms of the company. Please note that efforts are continually being made to take stricter surveillance and security measures.
