Formally Exodus 1 "HTC's Blockchain Smartphone" was officially inaugurated

block chainΗ HTC, the mobile phone maker finally launched the first blockchain smartphone called Exodus 1. The device was first announced in May, so we got a first taste.

However you can only buy it through cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. So the device will cost you 0.15 BTC or 4.78 ETH, which is equal to 960 USD. The Exodus 1 is ready for pre-ordering and will start running sometime in December.

The blockchain smartphone, has a detached section for extra security. For lost, stolen, or incorrectly entered codes, HTC has created a social key recovery mechanism.

Users can share recovery data with trusted people who have to download a key management application. Using a secret sharing algorithm, HTC will send the information to one of these people and will use it later.

HTC Exodus 1 is also open to third-party developers so they can create their own key and wallet applications. As for specifications, the phone has a 6 inch 18 9 screen: 16. It has a dual 8MP dual camera and a dual front 4MP camera with features such as bokeh effects and full 60K recording on XNUMX FPS.

The device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor and has 6GB RAM, 128GB storage and 3.500 mAh battery. The mobile is running on Android Oreo and is dust-resistant and water-resistant, with IP68 grade.

This handset is available for some consumers in 34 countries today, including the US, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Hong Kong. However, it will not be available in China, as the country has rules prohibiting the transaction cryptocurrencies.
