British Airways announced that its website has been tampered with and stolen data more than its 380.000 customers.
The company has revealed that the data was stolen between August 21 and September 5 and the hack has been reported to the authorities.
It appears that names, addresses, phone number and customer payment information may have leaked out of the hack.
From 22: 58 BST 21 August 2018 to 21: 45 BST 5 September 2018, the personal and financial details of customers who made reservations at ba.com and the airline application have been affected.
Alex Cruz, British Airways Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said: "We are deeply saddened at the inconvenience this crime has caused. We take very seriously the protection of our customers' data. "
