As we have stated several times in the past, Windows 7 is expected to end in January of 2020, with regular users as well as professionals taking care of the transition to Windows 10.
However, according to a new research carried out by Kollective, it does not appear to be particularly anxious for users to switch to the latest operating system Microsoft.
No less than 43% of respondents said that Windows 7 is still running, which is worrying if the majority of them are companies.
Let me remind you that Microsoft threw a curtain for the Windows XP in April of 2014, but some companies took up to five years to abandon this particular version of the operating system. Therefore, there are many chances that it will happen the same with Windows 7.
Worst of all in the case of Windows 7 is that about 17% of companies did not know about removing operating system support. In January of 2020, Microsoft will stop providing security updates for Windows 7, so any new vulnerability in the operating system will cause major disasters.
However, because it always goes worse, 33% of companies with more than 100.000 systems still run Windows XP.
On the contrary, positive news wants 33% of companies to prioritize upgrading to Windows 10.
