Sony released a new firmware package for the PlayStation 4 game consoles, namely the 5.56 version, which improves the overall performance of the system, as well as the previous version of the PlayStation 4 Firmware.
The steps you need to follow if you want to get the latest version are very simple. First, you must save the appropriate .PUP file on a computer.
Then create a "PS4 / UPDATE" path in one USB stick in FAT32 format, transfer the file firmware there, back up all the important data stored on your console and connect the removable storage space to the PS4 drive.
Now, if the upgrade package is already in use, go to Settings> System software update, follow all the instructions on the screen and apply the new version to your console without deleting user data or modifying the settings.
For the reinstallation file, restart the console, select "Initialize PS4 (Reinstall System Software)" and wait patiently while the device completes the process. Note that this method deletes all users, data, settings, and any other files in the console.
Considering all of the above, download the Sony PlayStation 4 5.56 Firmware, apply it and enjoy an upgraded PlayStation 4 experience.
