Susan Atrach, a female hacker allegedly violating the singer's bill, Selena Gomez, faces a jail sentence of nine years and eight months. The hacker copied the singer's personal records and then leaked them to the internet.
Susan Atrach has violated the emails of the singer Selena Gomez and her partner, stealing their data and then publishing them online without permission.
Five categories in total burden the young hacker: He is accused of violating a computer and using electronic personal data for the purposes of fraud or money and assets. He is also accused of unauthorized access to and use of a computer as well as the use of personal data without the permission of the owner.
This hack is part of The Fappening Saga which counts tall celebrity account violations.
Undoubtedly, celebrities' account violations seem to satisfy the cyber criminals world-wide. The most common tactic they follow is by violating the victim's cloud account. Some of Fappening's most recent celebrities are Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton and Miley Cyrus.
For most of the reasons, most of the violations were based on phishing scams that cheated the victims, resulting in extracting these login credentials by mimicking the appearance of a real site such as the Apple iCloud login page. As we all know, iPhone, by default, downloads the content of the device to iCloud for backup purposes.
Susan Atrach is expected to face the law on August 27 with her case still being investigated.
