Mozilla launches Firefox Color!

Mozilla today announced Firefox Color, a new extension available under the Test Pilot program, which allows users to customize the look of the browser in just a few clicks.

Mozilla

The themes existed for a while and while offering a way to match the Firefox interface, the level of personalization available to users was not exactly what some users expected.

This is why Firefox Color is just a useful addition. With this new feature, you can change almost any color in your browser according to your preferences, save the theme and even share it with your friends or someone else online. This is how the whole thing works.

First of all, it's important to know that Firefox Color is only available to Test Pilot users, which means that you are most likely to encounter bugs when used and in addition no one guarantees that this feature will be available soon for everyone .

To install Firefox Color, you need to run the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. Start the browser, and then open it link to go to the Firefox Color page.

It will show you an install button just like loading a standard extension in Mozilla Firefox, and then the extension gives you a quick introduction to show you the basic steps to customize your browser.

Once you've completed these few steps, you're ready to start the customization process in Firefox. Everything is done in the browser and the changes are implemented in real time.

Once the extension is installed, you must go to this extension σελίδα to set how the UI appears. The interface is pretty simple and lets you choose the color you want to change, copy and paste the URL to share topics, repeat and undo modifications, and choose from many predefined themes. As said, changes are applied in real time and you just have to click on the item you want to customize, such as the color of the search bar and choose a different setting.

Once you've modified the settings, you should see the changes applied to both the Firefox Color page and the browser you are using. Pressing the button Save, your current project is added to the Saved themes section.

You can not download or export themes and all modifications will be saved on the Firefox Color page.
