Unlock Windows 10 computers with Samsung Gear smartwatches

Samsung is preparing to release an updated version of Flow, expanding significantly the features and capabilities it offers to users w devices. Among other things the upgraded Samsung Flow will offer the possibility of unlocking computers with Windows 10through the company's smartwatches supported by the powerful TIZEN 3.0 (or later) operating system.

In particular, the Flow for Android (Version 3.0.14) update is expected to add support for smartwatches Gear S3 and Gear Sport by providing new functionality: After upgrading the app, users will be able to use their smartwatches to unlock Windows 10 computers without requiring passwords, and will also be able to sync notifications between computer and smartwatch.

In addition, Samsung will provide special tools to Galaxy device owners, allowing their mirroring screen to be connected to Windows 10 computers for easy access to files and applications.

It should be noted that Samsung Flow is compatible with Windows 10 Creators Update (1703 version) as well as any newer version. With regard to Galaxy TabPro S and Galaxy Baker, build 15063.413 is required as a minimum prerequisite.

Flow is compatible with devices that have the version marshmallow of Android or newer, while for smartwatches, only models with Tizen 3.0 or later are compatible.

Users with Windows 10 Fall Creators Update can run Samsung Flow on their devices without any problems.
