Facebook Messenger has stopped virtually all around the world earlier today, leaving countless users without answering their messages, but somehow the world continues to spin.
Users started to complain about stopping at 6 am. Eastern Time. The issues seemed to affect the East Coast of the US, Europe and South East Asia, culminating in 8 am.
Facebook recognized the topic on its site after about an hour at 7: 06 am. Eastern Time Time, publishing a message stating that the interruption is being investigated by a team working to find a solution to the problem. The social network has not yet updated the page, so research continues.
Messenger users entered the Twitter to launch their online complaints about the event, as it has become commonplace when a social media platform faces a problem.
Some even took the opportunity to advertise other messaging platforms, which is not surprising.
Fortunately, the service appears to have been restored for most users. The cause of the interruption was unclear. Facebook has not yet made a statement on the issue.
