That's it YouTube has now taken measures against the offensive content that has destroyed the platform for several years. Following the recent scandal that has led many companies to abandon their advertising program YouTube which is often associated with offensive content, the platform began to see the threat more clearly.
In an effort to please the advertisers but also to punish those who display offensive content, the platform was released guidance on what constitutes a friendly video and what unfit for advertising.
In short, content that promotes discrimination or discourage or humiliate a person or group of people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or other characteristics of personality will not be judged suitable for advertising but will not produce money for video owners.
Restrictions do not end there as any video shows family characters in violent, sexual or malicious scenes will also be banned. Similarly, bad, inflammatory, inflammatory or deceptive content will be blacklisted.
There will surely be many voices that will blame YoTube for censorship, something that is naturally far from reality. This is because the videos will be on the platform as they have done so far but will no longer generate advertising profit for those who publish them.
Note that Youtube's attitude gives a strong message to people who, because of the money they generated from advertising through such videos, thought their views were correct and acceptable to the community.
