The Sylvania Smart Lamp connects to Siri

lamp

Anyone looking for a smart light that is capable of connecting to Siri's personal assistant in Apple without the need for any additional hardware such as a distributor may be interested in a new smart lamp built by Ledvance.

The colorful Sylvania Smart A19 is going to be released during CES 2017 and will be available through Amazon at the beginning of 2017 across the US and Ledvance hopes to further expand its HomeKit over the next year.

The official press release published by Ledvance explains a little more about the design and features of the new Smart Lamp connected to Siri.

Along with using the Home app, you can control your lights by using voice commands via Siri. For those moments when you are away from home, Apple also has the ability to control its HomeKit-enabled products such as the colorful SYLVANIA SmartXXXX lamp using an Apple TV or iPad with iOS 19 as a distributor. This allows consumers to have flexibility when deciding how to control their HomeKit-enabled products. You can also set up lighting scenes as well as combine activities with other HomeKit enabled devices to create customized experiences through Home app you. For example, you can simultaneously turn on the lights, unlock the front door and turn on the radiators by simply using a single voice command for Siri like: "go home".
