Hyperloop One announced on Tuesday a formal deal with Dubai and the United Arab Emirates to launch a feasibility study to build one of the first Hyperloop transport systems.
The two-and-a-half-minute video released by the company as part of the announcement reveals how the transport system in Dubai and the areas it joins will work. Hyperloop One claims that a system that could reduce travel time between Abu Dhabi and Dubai from 90 minutes to 12.
One of the most interesting features of the video is the pods. Passengers will board in Pods, each of which will then converge to a single Hyperloop One Hose. Box-like pods fit four people at a time into the cylindrical conveyors that then fit into the Hyperloop One tubes. If one thinks there are enough housings to horror those who have claustrophobia! However speed an airplane with which Hyperloop travels will fascinate them.
Initially, the first rumors surrounding Hyperloop said they were targeting the United States. However, now Dubai and the United Arab Emirates are the company's new goals.
With the release of the news, Shervin Pishevar, Hyperloop One's executive chairman, said, "Dubai is the perfect place for Hyperloop One as it is a global hub for the 21 century and its leaders understand that it is launching a new era of transport."
Hyperloop One has not stopped manufacturing in Nevada. He promises a full-scale test there from 2017.
