From the Greek Police's Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate, targeted actions to combat child pornography and "Darknet" were conducted and a case filed against a two-year-old, 33 and 35-year, who was accused of being involved in a pornography case of minors.
In particular, this case has been investigated following an operation carried out in collaboration with Europol and the FBI, the "The Onion Router" (Tor) "anonymous network" where websites with child sexual abuse material were identified. The in-depth analysis of the data also resulted in the involvement of domestic internet users who kept an account on one of the websites in question.
In the context of the investigation of the case by the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office in cooperation with the US FBI and the US-based online service provider, the electronic traces of the email account with which it had been registration on this website.
For the above, the relevant Prosecutor's Offices were informed and a relevant order and order was issued to remove the confidentiality of communications. A methodical police and digital investigation of the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office followed, in cooperation with the relevant Internet and telecommunications service providers, and the two nationals were identified as administrators of the e-mail account in question.
25-11-2014 carried out a regular police investigation, in the presence of a Judicial Officer, in the homes and workplaces of the two nationals in Patras, where the on-site digital investigations verified the account management and identified other digital details of the case.
A (1) internal hard drive was found and seized within the framework of the investigations, which will be sent to the Criminal Investigation Division for the necessary laboratory examinations.
A case file of a regular procedure was submitted to the competent Prosecutor's Office.
