Lenovo Yoga Book can digitize your notes

The word "terrible" is a bit to describe the Lenovo Yoga Book that was announced on Wednesday at IFA 2016.

Yoga Book is about the size of a book for children and serves as a mini tablet, laptop and digital notebook. It's thin, light and wild. Lenovo launches two versions - one Android ($ 499) and one Windows 10 ($ 599) - this year.

The device has a full HD shiny screen 10,1 inch in one half and one matte surface in the other half. A hinge allows the screen to fold 360 degrees backwards into a mini tablet.

At the touch of a button, half of the matte surface turns into a "Halo" keyboard and trackpad. To type in it is like typing on an iPad, there is absolutely no tactile feedback or real activation key.

There are many new features in the Yoga Book. The best is the digitizer. With the keyboard turned off, you can place a piece of paper on top and use a pen with a real pen tip to write or draw and Yoga Book will make an exact digital copy on screen for storage or sharing.

If this sounds like Smart Wacom Bamboo, that's because Wacom's technology is. The digitizer is so sensitive that it can detect scratches in a stack of paper.

The Laptop is powered by a 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Atom processor, it has 5, 4GB RAM and has 64GB storage (expandable via microSD card). OR Lenovo says there will be both Wi-Fi and LTE models. There is also an 8-megapixel camera at the front. Lenovo supports up to 15 hours of battery life for the Android model and up to 13 hours for Windows 10.

It's an interesting idea that is clearly aimed at students, notebook lovers and scrapbookers, but it's hard to say if it will hold.
